Love this! The magic of a tiara was a beautiful way to crown your wedding and anniversary story.
It also brought back memories of our younger daughter, Hannah, who had quite a collection of tiaras from a pretty young age. A few still sit on the bookcases in her room.
This is such a moving piece (and the accompanying photos- whoa, so beautiful) - the yearning for perfection, the acknowledgement of it's impossibility or that it's entirely possible once we adjust our definition of what perfect looks like. I love how you use the tiara so effectively as a symbol throughout the piece and of course I hear you so much in your words which I love - your unique and funny and wistful perspective.
It was indeed a beautiful wedding, captured perfectly by this story. I still remember how stunning you looked, tiara and all. I also remember how gorgeous both your mom and Karen looked that day. The three Fried girls!
Deborah those are beautiful pictures and a beautiful story.
Thank you, Lena, from the bottom of my heart.
Still a queen after all these years and just as beautiful now as you were on your wedding day.
Lovely story.
Oh, Karen! Thank you! XOXOXO

Thank you, Laura. If Hannah ever wants someone to have a tiara party with, I'm in! xx
Haha...she most definitely would want to.
We just gave her a small tea party tasting for her birthday and she was thrilled...sans tiara though.
Absolutely riveting and beautifully recounted. Every second of it. The tiara still is with you!
Oh, Jackie - thank you! XOXOXO
Oh, Debra. What a perfect depiction of marriage and life! Miss you!
I miss you too, Kat. Thank you! xoxoxo

Thank you, Laura. If only I knew where I stored that silly tiara, I'd think about wearing it around the house once in a while. Or maybe not.

Oh, thank you, Susie!
Teary eyed again, Debra. So lovely and honest and beautiful ♥️🌟♥️ thank you.
I love you, T. Thank you.
There's so much I love about this.
Especially your mother's wisdom, "People are here because they love you."
That is precious. And for some people, almost unimaginable.
As for your continuing Tiaraing.

one of the most melancholy songs ever.
And tremolo as they should be.

Oh, yes, so melancholy - and so beautiful - but now I have to find my tiara so I can make the party start again!
Nailed it, George ♥️
